As a VTC driver, it is important to ensure the proper management of your accounts. What are your legal obligations? How can I access the necessary documents on the Heetch app? How to delegate the management of your accounts? We answer all your questions.

Accounting obligations according to your legal status

Self-employed

In terms of accounting, you need:

  • Keep a book of expenses & receipts
  • Have a dedicated bank account
  • Complete your turnover statement on a monthly basis hither, using your tax summaries and invoices, as part of your monthly VAT return.
  • You also need to file an annual income statement, which includes:
  • Company balance sheet
  • Income statement allowing you to know your turnover
  • Annexes (chart of accounts, VAT management, business expenses, depreciation, loans, possible payments, etc.).

VTC company

  • You do not need to file a monthly or quarterly report
  • However, you must file an annual income statement, namely:
  • Company balance sheet
  • Income statement allowing you to know your turnover
  • Annexes (chart of accounts, VAT management, business expenses, depreciation, loans, possible payments, etc.).

Failure to comply with your accounting obligations may subject you to financial and criminal sanctions, and in the most serious cases up to three years in prison and a fine of €45,000. It is therefore important to ensure that your accounts are properly maintained and that your annual return is accurate, in order to avoid any tax adjustment.

As a platform, at the beginning of the year, we must also report the income of all active drivers on Heetch so that the tax authorities ensure that each driver reports a fair turnover.
