EVOLUTION OF OUR PRICING POLICY

November 21, 2024
As of April 29, 2024, we are changing our pricing policy to ensure better profitability for all our drivers and respect the agreements signed at ARPE.
The aim of ARPE is to create social dialogue between Independent drivers (auto-entrepreneurs, SASU, EURL, etc.) and VTC platforms. Salaried drivers, or similar employees, in particular those in a fleet, are not concerned by this social dialogue since they already benefit, in theory, from social protection because of their status.
→ Price conditions now depend on your status.
What is my status?
→ Drivers employed and/or attached to a fleet: You are attached to a fleet, you have the status of an employed driver or an equivalent employee.
→ Independent driver: You have your own company (auto-entrepreneurs, SASU, EURL, etc.) and are not attached to a fleet.
What's new if I am a self-employed driver
(auto-entrepreneur, company)?
You benefit from:
✔️ The increase in gross prices on all our trips : +5% on all prices.
✔️ A minimum price of €9 net (already in place since 1/02).
✔️ One minimum rate of €1 net per KM.
✔️A monthly minimum income guarantee: €30 net per hour of activity.
This monthly guarantee is calculated based on the time of activity (race time, including approach). We take into account the time between the moment you accept the trip proposal, until the passenger drops off. At the end of the month, your hours of activity will be added up and if you do not reach the ratio of €30 net per hour, Heetch will make up for the difference. A monthly summary will show you your number of hours of activity, the income received and any compensation.
For example, if a driver was on the run for 10 hours (trip + approach) during the month of May, and won €250, Heetch will compensate €50 so that the driver receives €30 per hour of activity.
✔️ An evolution of the commission:
Our commission goes from a fixed commission to a Variable commission between 0 and 23% excluding tax. As an independent driver, you benefit from a average commission rate around 17% down from the previous commission of 18%.
- For independent drivers, the commission will vary between 0 and 23% excluding tax. This means that on some routes, we will reduce our commission to increase your net income and respect the ARPE agreements.
- For drivers employed and/or attached to a fleet, not affected by ARPE agreements, the commission will be variable between 20 and 23% HT.
For example, if a 20km trip is offered at €22 gross to the passenger:
-An independent driver must receive a minimum of €20 (€1/km). Heetch's commission is therefore €2, or 9% of €22.
Heetch remains the VTC platform with the lowest commission on the market.
What's new if I am an employed driver
and/or attached to a fleet?
Here are the new features that apply:
✔️ The increase in gross prices on all our trips : +5% on all prices.
✔️ An evolution of the commission:
Our commission goes from a fixed commission to a Variable commission between 0 and 23% excluding tax. We maintain a average commission rate of 18% excluding VAT on all our trips, but we are reducing our commission on the least profitable trips for independent drivers.
- For drivers employed and/or attached to a fleet, not affected by the ARPE agreements, the commission will variable between 20 and 23% HT.
- For independent drivers, the commission will vary between 0 and 23% excluding VAT. This means that on some routes, we will reduce our commission to increase the net income of these drivers and respect the ARPE agreements.
How do these innovations improve my profitability?
This new pricing policy improves the profitability of all drivers. starting on April 29, 2024. Your profitability increases between +4% and +6% depending on your status. On average over all trips, the Heetch commission remains 18% excluding VAT.
Why this difference between independent drivers and drivers attached to a fleet?
In recent years, more and more drivers have registered on VTC platforms thanks to the connection. In theory, fleet status means that the VTC driver is employed by the fleet manager. In practice, this is not always the case. (Source).
However, if a fleet manager does not declare his drivers, they do not have any social protection (no pension contributions, etc.), which will ultimately generate serious problems.
Some drivers still use attachment for several reasons:
- More profitability: If the manager does not pay all his expenses, the driver, but especially the fleet manager, can be more profitable.
- Simplicity of management: The attached driver does not have to manage a company.
With regard to profitability, ARPE agreements precisely make it possible to guarantee good profitability for independent drivers. Thus, if independent drivers felt aggrieved by drivers attached to the fleet, this will, in theory, be less the case from April 29, 2024. Moreover, for attached drivers, it becomes easier to change status while remaining profitable.
By applying the agreements only to independent drivers, not to fleets, drivers in fleets who respect the law may feel like they are being penalized. However, this is not the case since the profitability of ALL drivers is increasing. However, it increases slightly more for independent drivers (+6%) than for fleet drivers (+4%).
If a fleet respects the law, paid drivers already have several social protections through their status, and need less income guarantees supported by ARPE agreements than self-employed people. However, in the future, we do not forbid ourselves from applying the agreements to all drivers, especially if the principle of attachment has faded away.
How do I become an independent driver not attached to a fleet?
→ Create a company (Learn more)
- Or via the micro-enterprise regime (auto-entrepreneur), which is mainly advantageous the 1st year with ACRE
- Or through the creation of a company. This requires more administrative procedures, but this solution provides more flexibility to optimize your taxation according to your personal situation.
→ Request your change of status on the application by coming to the Heetch Café or directly from the “Change my driver status” application
I am the manager of a fleet where I employ my employees with social protection and I find this system unfair:
→ Contact us hither.
