WHAT IS INTRA-COMMUNITY VAT?

As soon as you create or work for a company, it has, as soon as it is created, an intra-community VAT number.

⚠️ If you are in a company and your VAT number is no longer valid, for one reason or another, it is imperative to resolve your situation as soon as possible. Indeed, otherwise, Heetch will have no choice but to stop its collaboration with you and/or to charge you its commission including VAT and not HT, which would increase it by the same amount.

👉 SPECIAL CASE OF AUTO-ENTREPRENEURS

By default, auto-entrepreneurs do not have an active intra-community VAT number.

‍However, it is very easy to get one completely free of charge, and we strongly advise you to do so because otherwise, Heetch will be forced to charge you his commission including VAT and not HT, which would increase it by the same amount.

For example, if you are a self-employed person, your average commission is currently around 17% excluding VAT. If you do not activate your intra-community VAT number, it would be, on average, around 20.5% including VAT.

📝 HOW DO I ACTIVATE THIS NUMBER?

→ If you already have an account on impots.gouv.fr :

‍

1. Log in and apply for the assignment of an intra-community VAT number via the Messaging.

2. On the site of the European Commission, get the proof of activation (a screenshot is enough).

3. Download it in your “Your Documents” driver area.

→ If you don't already have an account on impots.gouv.fr :

‍

1. Create your professional space.

2. You will receive an activation code by post.

3. Go back to impots.gouv.fr to activate your space.

4. Apply for the assignment of an intra-community VAT number via the messaging.

5. On the site of the European Commission, get the proof of activation (a screenshot is enough).

6. Download it in your “Your Documents” driver area.
